Henry Lowther (Leicester, Inghilterra, 1941) è un suonatore di tromba di scuola jazz che ha anche suonato insieme ad artisti pop-rock, blues-rock e prog-rock.
Prima della tromba ha imparato a suonare il flicorno.
Child Song è il suo album di debutto come band leader (Deram, 1970).
Child Song è più che fusion: è sperimentazione, free jazz estremo che ricade in melodie semplici, quasi lineari; è ricerca di nuove vie sonore, è rottura con i pattern tradizionali con qualche richiamo sparso ai maestri del passato. Un debutto più che ragguardevole.
